Flokk Mereo Mesh is the latest evolution of the Mereo office chair series — building on the Mereo DNA with a refined mesh backrest that enhances ergonomics, performance, and sustainability for contemporary workspaces
Our team was approached by Flokk to design Mereo Mesh, the newest addition to the Mereo office chair series. The challenge was to create a mesh backrest that integrates seamlessly with the rest of the Mereo family—originally developed by members of our team over a decade ago—while enhancing comfort, performance, and sustainability.
The foundations of Mereo were established more than ten years ago through a collaboration with Flokk (RH’s parent company) to develop a next-generation professional office chair for flexible, evolving work environments. Guided by a human-centered approach, deep user insights, and eco-design principles, the series was designed to support well-being, active sitting, and long-term use.
Mereo Mesh is the latest evolution of the series, combining precise detailing with advanced ergonomics to enhance breathability, lightness and transparency. It represents the latest expression of the Mereo design philosophy and debuted at the Stockholm Furniture Fair 2025.

Mereo’s anatomy is purposeful: a narrow waist, pronounced lumbar, waterfall front, and a clear central spine. Those lines signal stability, comfort, and readiness to work. Recycled material in mind, easy disassembly and serviceability.
