Our focus and support

  • System vision and target experience
Supported Arjo translate their people-driven insights into future experience bath system concepts for residents and caregivers, focused on comfort, wellness, sensory ease, and a homelike rather than institutional feel.

  • Bath & chair concept development
Developed core concepts for the Symbliss bath and bath chair, exploring volumes, access zones and movement envelopes that support use case and ergonomic working postures.

  • Design language & CMF for a “spa at care home” feel
Shaped the external expression and CMF to align with Arjo’s brand and design DNA, while softening the look into something more furniture-like, calm and reassuring for residents with cognitive impairment.

  • Form detailing for safety, hygiene and access
Refined key details – edges, transitions, skirts and openings – to balance infection prevention, ease of cleaning, resident comfort and approach with lifting equipment.

  • Vision visuals and on-site alignment workshops
Created high-fidelity vision visuals and supported on-site workshops with Arjo teams to align R&D, marketing and product management around the concept and the subsequent development work.

Lightbar concept

Using Arjo’s own people-driven insights and workflow mapping as a foundation, Fjaryl translated user needs into form, details and design cues that make the system feel homelike, calming and easy to understand.

We supported on-site with the Arjo team in workshops to align stakeholders and guide product concept and development ideas.

All surfaces and details are shaped to support effective infection prevention, with smooth materials and generous radii to minimise dirt traps and simplify cleaning.

The Symbliss bath is designed to look inviting on arrival in the hygiene room, with the skirt in its lowest position hiding the lift mechanism while still leaving space for the lift and resident at the front.
